The Bajaus were once fishermen and rulers of the sea but are now trying to gain a living by performing stunts in the water while being supported by Christian missionaries. The cold facts of the so-called sea gypsies’ life are delivered by the artist’s voice-over with fairytale formulas and end-rhymes that add an unreal element to the Bajaus’ tough existence.
